Finally getting over to the other side of the ledge, the Fool then transitions into the Magician. Magicians were known to be skilled people who knew how to use their resources to create a spectacle. From this, the card symbolizes one’s ability to take something out of what they have and making it as magical or efficient as possible. The numerology of 1 which represents the magician shows initiative in this new stage. Just as the number one is the beginning of any step process of a new project, here it represents the cause and effect action needed to push forward in the journey.
Take action is usually a key term to describe this card. Every suit is at the Magician’s disposal in the illustration and since you just started on your journey this card displays that there are many things you can utilize to get the best kick off to this new beginning.
The color symbolism shows within the clothes of magician as well as his surroundings. He wears white symbolizing purity and innocence since he did just start his fresh journey coming from the stage of the Fool. His cloak being red symbolizes a drive and motivation to wield the power of the universe in his hands to create something that may benefit for himself. The yellow backgrounds holds the same meaning of optimism as the fo but is more towards the optimism carrying over from the fool into this stage helps drive and motivate the magician to take action within his or her own environment.
In his hand is a wand but in the other it faces the ground. Relating to a saying from Wiccan Culture, the magician embodies the “As Above So Below” way of living. The magician therefore represents the concept of manifesting and sending energy to the higher forces above in order to create the reality of what they ask for below the higher forces. Therefore manifesting is also another key term to represent the power within the Magician Card.
