A Hand into Your Past & Future

Give me your hand and let me take a look. With just a glimpse I can show you your future, tell you your dreams. With just a glimpse of your hand, I can tell you how many kids you’re going to have; or If you’ll be alone forever. It’s incredible how much you really can learn just from looking at your hands!

Palmistry or palm reading is predictions made based on the shape and form of someone’s hand. In doing this the traits of the individual can be determined, as well as help foreshadow the future. Aristotle would give Alexander the Great a reading as it was looked at as the most reliable way to read someone. The art of palm reading was created with Hindu astrology; though some like to argue Aristotle did. It was discovered by a Hindu man named Valmika.

Yes being able to see the future based off the lines in your hands seems impossible; but that’s not all that’s required. To start, the shape of everyone’s hands vary.

The shape of your hand can be either air, water, fire, or earth:

  • Fire (Leo, Aries, Sagitarius): People with fire hands have long palms and shorter fingers. Fire hands have deep lines in their hands, and defined mounds. They are known to be passionate, confident, and industrious. Though can sometimes come across anxious and restless.

  • Earth (Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus): People with earth hands have square palms and short fingers. Their hands tend to be firm and meaty. Earth people tend to be more grounded and logical. They enjoy longer planning, and usually have many achievements.

  • Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius): People with air hands have square palms and long fingers. They tend to be curious with innate analytical abilities and communication skills. Though air hands always need to be stimulated. If not it can lead to them becoming anxious. They are also very adaptable and intellectual.

  • Water (Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer): People with water hands have long palms and long fingers with narrow appearance; they tend to feel soft and clammy. Water hands tend to be more in touch with their emotions, as well as intuitive. They are often creative but extremely sensitive. This can cause them to be easily hurt causing interpersonal stress.

The lines of your hands also play a large part. There are four main lines to take into account:

  1. Heart Line

  2. Head Line

  3. Fate Line

  4. Life Line

All of these correlate to, yes,  what they sound like...

The Heart line will explain how your heart functions so that goes from what your heart craves, is scared of and what you look for in a partner. If someone has a deep heart line, that means they have depth to their emotions and feel deeply. If it is faint that could mean they are delicate or sensitive. When there are a lot of breaks in this line that shows that you may have many relationships.

The Head Line predicts someone's wisdom, beliefs, attitudes and how their head works. If someone’s head line is straight that indicates a logical approach to life but if curved it shows a more creative way of thinking. For those who have a faint head line, they may be intellectual but do not go to the fullest potential with their intellect.

The Fate line reflects one’s life career and some readers consider this the luck line in regards to your luck and life success. Having a straight line could show that a person is a more straightforward way of living rather than a person with a curved line who may explore different purposes throughout life.

The Life line represents someone's vitality and life energy which can tell the reader any accidents of serious illnesses that can occur. Breaks and or a faint Life Line shows that that person has a lack of enthusiasm.

Professional readers may use the length of each line to indicate time in one’s life and see where the breaks or circles may represent something in a certain point in time. For example, seeing a break in the beginning of the Fate Line may symbolize bad health in the early stages of one’s life so childhood and adolescence.

Finally the last part of your hands used to help interpret is the mounds of them. There are seven that are named after some of the planets. The development of each mound can tell you all about the individual’s personality. Such as lifestyle, tendencies, wealth, etc.

Mounts and Lines all inscribed into our skin that changes through life based off of our decisions. A hand in the future seems so strange and mysterious. Palm readings lead one to be able to see the things around them just like tarot but the depths of meaning is different. Walking around town on a cool dark night after grabbing drinks with friends and that vibrant purple psychic sign sits in a window. Will you pay a price to see where you can better yourself? Lay out your hands bottoms up and let Spirit reveal what's around you...you may not know what is to come.
