New Moon in Scorpio
No one has to be told that 2020 was the biggest trip of a year. However, there’s only a month and a half left of it. There’s still time to turn it strong while preparing for 2021! Today, November 15, 2020 is the New Moon in Scorpio.
After so many planets, including Mercury, went direct this New Moon should be very refreshing and uplifting. Like the regular new moon with it comes Jew beginnings, and hope for a fresh start. Scorpio is a fixed water sign.
It suggests we look deeper into our being while committing to goals, projects, and habits that will help us grow wider. The new moon brings promise of growth, and abundance. You don’t want to miss out on that!
This New Moon in Scorpio is also a great time to do shadow work! Your shadow self is the part of you you try to hide. It’s more of your unconscious that you avoid at all costs. New moons are the perfect time for reflection and healing.
New Moon Ritual For Shadow Work:
Reflect/Meditate on Shadow Self: The energy of the new moon is to reflect and accept the darker parts rather than hide them away. It’s ok to feel shame/guilt; but don’t hold onto that forever. Go through the meditation. Follow the stages until you find yourself at acceptance.
Confront Shadow: When ready confront yourself. Look at the dark parts. You may not love them; but remember you love yourself. You deserve that! When ready, release it. You can verbally say things in order to do so. Sarah Reagan of mind body green gives the example, “I allow the darkest shadow that's buried within me to be released. I release fear; I release doubt; I release shame; I release insecurity.”
Set Your Intention: Write down your intentions. After having released that negative energy you are energetically clean. Ready to take on New and refreshing energies. Write down what you hope the new moon will bring you. Goals your line to set. Crystals help amplify intentions!
