The Headstrong Ram...a True Aries
Updated: Mar 23, 2021
While the regular new year begins in January when the ball drops, for the zodiacs it begins with Aries season. With a ruling time from March 21- April 19 the ram owns the sky. This is also why their number is one.
Greeks and Egyptians famously depicted Aries as a ram. While the horns on top of the head
go hand in hand with their love diving into challenges, it does have more than one meaning behind it. The ram also represents male aggression, fertility, and courage. Greeks associate Aries with Ares, god of war. He represents the violent and physical aspects of war.
Which goes along with how untamed and aggressive Aries tend to be. The Aries constellation becomes visible to Earth at the beginning of spring, when the sun crosses the celestial equator to the Northern Hemisphere.
Being a fire element those who are an Aries like to dive headfirst into any challenges that may arise for them. They are passionate, motivated, and a confident leader. With these great qualities it’s no wonder why it seems they can build communities with just their cheerful disposition. However, there are some things to look out for. With this leading nature comes with the chance to be overbearing at times; not wanting to relinquish control. With their
‘I know best’ mentality it can be hard to give advice to them. It is an Aries nature to want to take action, but sometimes they can be a bit impulsive. It is also important for them to watch for unknowing selfish tendencies.
In love an Aries likes to take initiative like in most aspects of their lives. When they feel the
emotion they tend to express it without a second thought. They approach love passionately, energetically, and adventurously. However, sometimes an Aries can become addicted to the physical aspects that come with love. They enjoy the chase when it comes to love wanting nothing more than to be their partners’ knight in shining armor.
When it comes to friends an Aries usually has a wide range of them. Tolerant of others around them they like to have diversity. Usually drawn to those similar to themselves, (energetic and not afraid to have an opinion) they easily enter into communication with a direct and honest approach. This approach helps turn those connections into long term relationships where they are able to share their thoughts.
With family they tend to be independent and ambitious. From a young age an Aries knows what they want and will become angry when it feels like they are being too restricted. As a parent,
Aries is the most loving and selfless. They won’t hesitate to put their child’s needs above their own.
Aries are known for their love of leadership. Finally, in career/money you're likely to find one giving orders in the work atmosphere. They always seem to be one step ahead of everyone else; but they do enjoy competition. Aries live in the present. They aren’t constantly focused on the future.
