Let’s Get Lost in the Galaxy!
Mercury’s in retrograde. Something that the minute anyone hears they just think, “Oh shit, now what?” But, do you actually know what it means? There are nine planets in our solar system, including Earth. Yes, of course I still count Pluto! Even though the closest planet to us is about a year's journey away; it doesn’t mean they don’t have an effect on us. So all aboard the magic school bus. We’re about to take a trip through the solar system.
Mercury: Rules over communication. When in retrograde there are many communication issues. Whether with technology or even speaking. Mercury goes into retrograde three times a year for three weeks at a time. The planet also has an effect on human psychology related to communication and empathy.
Venus: This planet is associated with money, especially on things that bring joy. It also represents love, self-esteem, and money. Venus has an effect on the way you love, determine value, and ways you experience sensual pleasure.
Mars: Has an effect on sexual drive, aggression, and raw energy. It also shows us how we chase our goals and sexual energies. Mars also plays a large part in physical instinct reminding us of our animalistic sexual drive.
Jupiter: This planet is very positive along with its effects. Jupiter is associated with good luck, abundance, and optimism. It is the largest planet in the solar system. The planet represents luck, growth, travel, philosophy, education, life experience, and spirituality.
Saturn: The planet of obstruction, distress, depression, sorrow, sickness, and capable of bringing adversaries in a human's life. Saturn can help you move forward, evolve, and overcome obstacles. If you are caught too much in your worldly desires it helps get you on the right track; and find your inner strength.
Uranus: This planet helps with awakening and originality. It suggests shaking up the norms and paying attention to unpredictable sudden insights(inspirations).
Neptune: Has an effect on dreams and illusions. Neptune rules over fantasies, intuition, and daydreams. The planet also has an effect on how we experience a sense of unity and sympathy. However, when in retrograde it ‘strips away the rose colored glasses.’ It brings you face to face with our harsh and painful realities. Neptune has a tendency to help us detach from reality and understand any psychic power or spiritual depth one may have.
Pluto: Has an effect on releasing buried power and your core thoughts(subconscious). It’s known as the planet of creative destruction. Pluto is strongly connected to your relationships with money, sex, and work. Which is also why Pluto suggests that you embrace in your ‘devilish delights’. However, the planet isn’t all about indulging. It also encourages you to dig deeper and confront what’s difficult to confront. When Pluto is in retrograde it helps process and mental release in order to move forward and birth your new self. You should harness personal reflection, face deep issues, and transform.
