Practicing Self Love

With Valentine's Day swiftly approaching, and COVID still running rampant through the world not many are looking forward to it. Though you don’t need to have a significant other to celebrate the holiday! In Fact you don’t even need to celebrate it with another person. You have yourself! If you practice self love you can be the source of love that you crave. Even help you to ascend!

  • Meditation: stop and take deep breaths. Taking a break from your hectic lifestyle is exactly what you need. Taking a breather and releasing built up stress and tension helps to give self love to your body and mind!

  • Work Out: taking care of your body is the perfect way to express self love. If you’re not caring for your body you’re not caring for yourself. You don’t have to go to the gym to work out. You could go on a walk, ride a bike, go swimming, etc. You’ll be surprised how god you’ll feel.

  • Turn off your phone. Make a time that you turn off all your screens. Whether you do so to meditate or simply read a book the Internet isn’t good constantly. Sometimes silence can be the breath of fresh air you need.

  • Get off social media. In this day in age it’s unrealistic to tell people not to have social media. However, it’s up to you how you use it. Go through the people you follow. How does your timeline make you feel? Do you dread going on social media based on what you may see? Try to avoid comparing yourself to others. Especially based on what they post online.

  • Explore your personality. Faith is a great building block no matter what you believe in. It will help build intuition. Exploring can even help you learn more about yourself.

  • Postive Affirmation: Saying/Writing affirmations helps you reprogram your mind and start to truly feel what you say.

  • Create your own self love rituals. You can make your own set love rituals. Whether you want to start your own new hobbies, exercise, journal, practice yoga, or anything else you can come up with. Once you have a ritual try to do it once a week; or even everyday! You’ll be surprised the weight that may be lifted off your chest.
