Kālī Ma

Spirit guides are given to help someone stay on their own path of life. If you feel stuck they’re there to help you figure out your next step; and continue following the correct path. Kālī Ma is one of the many spirit guides that someone could have. She is there to help those who are stuck with fear and attachment. As well as those who are too afraid to step out of their comfort zones and step into the unknown!

Kālī Ma, like Yemoja, is considered to be a divine mother. However, unlike Yemoja, some mistake her and view her as a dark mother. Kālī Ma is one of the many misunderstood goddesses. Known for her destruction, many view her as dangerous; but that’s not all she is. She stems from the Hindu religion; and is also known as the wife and killer of Shiva. Kālī was thought to be born out of Durga’s rage as she entered battle. She sprouted from her forehead dark blue, with six arms, and nothing but lust for the blood of those deserving. She immediately began slaughtering demons and taking their heads to continue the necklace that hangs around her neck.

As fearsome as Kālī Ma may sound she is there for anyone who needs her. Kālī Ma helps to find one's inner strength even when they don’t believe they have it in them. She is always looking out for her children ready to serve justice to those who deserve it. For those who wish to turn to Kālī Ma for help, and worship her feast day is May 24. Her weekday is Tuesday. You can praise her simply by enjoying your life and thanking her for the gifts she gives to you. However, you do not want to get on her bad side. Remember to talk to her. You can summon her and simply converse. Or do ‘Kālī Ma’ activities such as dancing/kicking, feel stillness, and meditate to her. Also never forget to say thank you.

Offerings: red hibiscus flower, sweets, fish, meat, rice and lentils. Of course there is more; but this is just a few of them.

Crystals: Garnet, Moonstone, Snowflake Obsidian
